The Honorary Chairwoman of the Hamilton County Republican Party is Mary Anne Christie. The Chairwoman helps organize volunteer efforts, specifically women-led initiatives.

Mary Anne Christie has had a distinguished leadership role with the Republican Party, as well as being involved as a community volunteer and in a professional career.


Mary Anne has served on numerous committees Hamilton County Republican Party & presently is a member of the Executive Committee. She was the former president of the Hamilton County Republican Women Club, president of the Ohio Federation of Republican Women & serves on the Board of Trustees for the National Federation of Republican Women.


As a member of the Republican State Central Committee for 18 years she has served as Chair on a number of committees & has been a delegate to four Republican National Conventions. She was elected to serve on the important Ohio Electoral College.


She was the first woman elected to Madeira City Council & served as Mayor. Her leadership abilities won her the role of president of the OKI Regional Council of Governments. OKI is the transportation planning agency for the tristate area. She also was president of the Ohio Regional Council of Governments & was a board member of the National Association of Regional Council of Governments. She has led major campaigns for candidates as well as chairing the Children Service & Mental Health levies in the County.


As a community supporter Mary Anne has served on the University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College Advisory Council; President of the Hamilton County Children Service Commission, Talbert House Board Member, Vice Chair of the Ohio State Board of Housing & president of the Summit Country Day School Mother’s Association.


Ohio Governor Voinovich appointed her as an Administrative Judge to the prestigious Ohio Industrial Commission Worker’s Comp Board. She worked for many years as a real estate appraiser & small business owner earning her the appointment to the County Board of Revision. She holds a bachelor degree in Political Science from University of Cincinnati & completed studies at the University of Arizona. She is a member of the Phi Sigma Alpha – National Political Honor Society.


For her illustrious work she has been honored as a Distinguished Alumnae by the University of Cincinnati, Friends of Women Studies & Blue Ash College. Hamilton County Mental Health Board recognized her with its VIP Award, Hamilton County Republican Party with the Outstanding Volunteer Award & was recognized with the Citizen Crusader Award from the Cincinnatus Association.
